Labyrinth13: True Tales of the Occult, Crime, & Conspiracy

I came across an interesting article titled, The Curse of Palmyra Island while searching for evil/cursed places. At the bottom of the article, I found a link to Labyrinth13 site, in which Curt Rowlett is selling his book.

Labyrinth13

I read a couple of his excerpts, including the one about Kurt Cobain’s death and the conspiracy theory surrounding that event. His writing style is objective and concise, allowing you to form your own opinion. I respect writers who have this attitude.

Synopsis

Inside Labyrinth13, you will find true tales of bizarre coincidences, strange occult experiments, unusual paranormal events, including phantom black dogs, vampires in America, werewolves and a haunted island, weird hippie cults, LSD murders, mind control, and unsolved crimes, as well as:

• The possible solution to a Da Vinci Code-style occult cryptogram over 100 years old

• An exploration of the unsolved Zodiac murders, including a detailed discussion of the “radian theory,” and speculation that the killer may have actually been the most violent and dangerous visual artist who ever lived

• An analysis of whether the death of Kurt Cobain was murder or suicide

• A close look at aspects of the Manson/Son of Sam murders that examines the alleged connections of those crimes to a wider occult conspiracy involving the Process Church of the Final Judgment

• An expose that scrutinizes the possible role of the U.S. Government’s mind control experiments that may have been used to create programmed assassins

This book also contains detailed endnotes, fully cited resources, and highly readable appendixes - including interviews with key figures in some of the most unusual events in paranormal, conspiracy and true crime history.

Haunted Police Station: Bowler’s Chair

The Meenapur police station of Muzaffarpur district in India appears to be haunted by the ghost of an English policeman, named Bowler Saheb, who met a nasty death when he was set on fire by freedom fighters in 1942.

Apparently, he doesn’t want anyone sitting in his favorite chair, especially commanding officers. Whoever violates his wishes finds himself behaving abnormally, landing in trouble with the department (resulting in a suspension or transfer), or experiencing a disturbing event in their family. One officer tried to debunk what he thought was a superstition and experienced this:

All of a sudden, Sharma’s eyes turned red and he started speaking English like an Englishman,” he said, adding that Sharmaji became unconscious after that. Though he remained posted in the police station for next three years, he did not dare sit on the chair again.

He is currently posted in one of the police stations of the district. Yet another SI rank officer, U S Jha admitted the chair was haunted by the ghost of Bowler Saheb.

Though we have seen nothing, we were told about the presence of the ghost and its activities by our predecessors,” he said, adding that the truth is that none of the OCs have ever dared to sit on the chair.

The officers have since started using the newer quarter to hold their meetings, since nothing has ever happened to them in there. Binod Kumar Singh, the current OC, said that he stays in the quarter of Bowler Saheb. But he hasn’t summoned the bravery to sit in that chair.

Adam the Healer

Adam Dreamhealer, a Canadian college student, claims that he can heal people’s maladies with the touch of his hands. According to ABC News, he makes more than most doctors do––$1.2 million. This doesn’t include the income he makes from his books, DVD, and healing sessions over the Internet.

He began experiencing telekenetic phenomena at the age of 15, when pencils and erasers began flying out of his hands. Since then, he’s channeled his energies into healing cancers and infections.

Adam says when he is trying to heal a person he sees a “quantum hologram” — a representation of the combined energy of everyone in the room.

“I’m not actually sure what it is I do. I go into this trance,” says Adam. “I don’t see anything else around me except for this person in front of me. And then I’m just changing these things, this image in front of me.”

He says he uses his hands to fix breaks in the energy flow, which allows the healing to begin.

But Adam can’t guarantee the success of his work.

Whatever this guy has isn’t perfect. He’s not able to cure people of cancer forever, and sometimes he misdiagnoses his client’s systems (much like doctors do). I also appreciated his respect for medicine in that he advised his clients to continue with their medication in conjunction with his healing treatment.

The scientific community hasn’t decided one way or the other if Adam Dreamhealer is a fraud. Edgar Mitchell of the Apollo 14 mission said, “It’s all about channeling energy and resonating with the person.”

According to Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School and the Mind/Body Center, we have self-healing capacities within ourselves that can be turned on by belief and expectancy. However, this ability can be difficult to turn on when we’re in pain or are afraid. That’s where people like Adam can be helpful.

Our Haunted Lives

Our Haunted Lives is a collection of stories from people who lived in haunted houses. People like George Lutz, whose experiences in the infamous house in Amityville, New York in 1975 captivated the world and spurned the launch of several books and movies over the past three decades, notably The Amityville Horror.

In many ways, Mr. Lutz’s own account of what happened to him and his family is more frightening than anything Hollywood could dream up. The interview in Our Haunted Lives was one of the last major interviews Mr. Lutz gave before his death in May of this year.

I’ve seen the Amityville movie, read the book, and watched documentaries that tried to claim that the Lutzs’ experience was a big hoax. I think I will buy this book so I can hear from the late Mr. Lutz myself.

Our Haunted Lives

Other encounters explored in this ground-breaking book include: Ghosts We Know; Ghosts on the Job; Haunted Hotels and Inns; Near-Death Experiences; While You Were Sleeping; Ghost Hunting; and Ghosts Out and About.

“Over the years I’ve heard from hundreds of people who have experienced a brush with the supernatural,” said Jeff Belanger, author of Our Haunted Lives. “The most compelling evidence of the existence of ghosts is the testimony of those who have experienced them. My objective was to capture not only the experiences but the nature and nuances of the language people use to relate these profound events. The format and style of this book is a nod to the great interviewer and author Studs Terkel, whose work served as the inspiration for Our Haunted Lives.”

Jeff Belanger is an author of several books on the subject of the paranormal and founder of megasite, Ghostvillage.com.
