Excerpted from their About Us page:
The Phenomena Police was conceived two years after Lieutenant Harry Zamora and his wife Lesli moved into a house in north Houston Texas.
Immediately after they moved in, strange and unusual things began happening. Lights would turn on after they had been turned off at night. Doors would lock by themselves, water faucets would turn, things would move about, electrical appliances would turn on, visitors would hear footsteps and see shadow figures. They would experience cold chills as though someone was watching them, etc.
Being a police officer of over 24 years, he refused to accept anything other than the tangible. It took several months of attempting to find answers alone before he realized there was truly something strange about the house. He called on fellow police officers to substantiate what he felt was paranormal activity.
The story about the battery-operated toys going off all at once made my skin crawl. Looking at their “News” page, I was impressed to see that they’ve been interviewed by major news conglomerates such as ABC and CBS. You can read some accounts of their investigations and more by visiting PhenomenaPolice.com.

I was curious about how other countries celebrated Halloween and decided to search the topic. This is what I found:
Jack O’Lanterns.net: Halloween Traditions
My favorites are England and Ireland because of their pagan and Celtic roots.

Deep in the mountains close to the Mexican border, a mysterious place exists where time is altered at random.
A joke? Not according to Ron Quinn.
Quinn first submitted his stories to The Weekly’s former editor, Michael Parnell, in November 2002. Upon his departure in January, Parnell passed them on to current Weekly Editor Jimmy Boegle.
The Weekly staff decided to publish them; after all, they are quite compelling. Plus, Quinn’s got some credibility; a life-long treasure hunter, Ron Quinn’s stories have been appeared in Arizona Highways, Treasure Magazine and Fate.
The Weekly does not know the location of the site Mr. Quinn speaks of, nor could we verify the events mentioned. Therefore, we present his anecdotes as interesting stories–nothing more.
–Irene Messina
This “time portal” supposedly exists high on a plateau near the Mexican border. Mr. Quinn refused to tell anyone other than close friends about the exact location of this strange place because he felt that it was sacred. Reading the accounts of his visits, I almost felt like I was there. I don’t know whether I believe his story or not, but I enjoyed his writing.

Many staff members at the Gold Coast Arts Centre believe the building is haunted by an eccentric artist-designer who was brutally murdered at her Sydney home in 1977. Although no one has seen the ghost, they have felt eerie sensations and heard unexplained noises. The paranormal activity has increased since they filmed a documentary about the artist, entitled Unfolding Florence: The Many Lives Of Florence Broadhurst.
