Mediums Help Vietnamese Find Fallen Soldiers
Communist Vietnam, officially an athiest state, has a long tradition of ancestor worship. This tradition and a yearning to find missing relatives from what they call the “American war” have made them seek supernatural assistance from mediums.
Vu The Khanh, Director of the Science Technology Union for Informatics Application, says that there are about 10 psychics that are now prominent in Vietnam. Demand for their talents is so high that families have to wait more than one year for appointments at Khanh’s center and similar centers such as the Centre for Research into Human Capabilities.
