Peter James was 8 years old when he encountered the ghosts of three young fire victims. They not only became his companions for the next three years, but introduced him to a world which he called the “other side.” I had no recollection of the name until I saw his face. I’d watched him on Sightings way back in 1991, as he patrolled the Queen Mary, telling us about the ghost of the little girl who had drowned.
