Phil Massie ignored the inexplicable banging that greeted him when he arrived at Grove Hospital in Shardlow, Derbyshire. He and his team got to work, stripping the old hospital in preparation for a housing development. It wasn’t long before they began to experience some very unusual things while working inside that hospital.

Workers have reported seeing figures flitting through the abandoned wards and feeling icy blasts that come at them from out of nowhere. Perhaps the most bizarre is the orbs, which multiplied as the crew continued to work.

“The more work we do, the more things seem to happen - and the more orbs seem to appear. I have never seen anything like it in my life.”

Local psychic Jason Daine, claimed he was able to speak to a number of disgruntled ex-patients, who told them why they were there. He plans to return to the hospital with his ghost hunting equipment to determine the volume of paranormal activity inside the hospital. In the meantime, Phil Massie and his crew continue to work at the hospital despite its spooky conditions.
