At the beginning of August, 2008, Blossom Goodchild, a Psychic Channeller living in Australia sent an email to about 120 people stating that she had received a “prophecy” from an extra-terrestrial source she calls “The Federation of Light”. Until this time Goodchild was a fairly unremarkable player in her field but the events that snowballed after she pressed the “send” button must have placed her as one of the biggest “false prophets” that we have encountered in recent times.
And the prophecy? Goodchild announced that she had it from her source that on October 14, 2008 a giant light ship, possibly 2000 miles long, would present itself “decloaked” and clearly visible in the skies for three twenty-four-hour periods. The purpose of this visit would be to show humanity that we have an extra-terrestrial brotherhood who come in peace as part of the “Ascension” process. All we were to do was to open our hearts and keep our eyes to the skies.
Goodchild was convinced of her duty to get the message out to as many people as possible. And it was not long before she became something of a modern day Angel Gabriel. The 14-10 prophecy began to spread across the internet, radio and TV interviews were flooding in and she appeared in a string of YouTube videos.
Rumour has it that her flagging book sales began to soar and she was inundated with questions about when and where the “light ship” would turn up, what would happen and what we could expect to see, all of which were answered by The Federation of Light in subsequent channellings with some precision. Emails were also received from scores of concerned and worried people, who were just not ready for a “Day of the Triffids” scenario in our skies. And it was not long before the prophecy was corroborated by a string of reputable internet channellers, claiming to have received confirmation from their sources, including St Germain, SaLuSa and Matthew, all of which are well known names in the field.
Then the 10-14-08.blogspot site was launched by American webster Brad Johnson, who pulled together anything he could find on the event and began to create more hype around October 14 than we saw when the Beckhams moved to Hollywood.
As the day drew nearer, there were thousands of videos on YouTube, and every post on Johnson’s blog site attracted thousands of comments. Talk began about the arrival of our “Galactic family” bringing humanity together with a consciousness of possible links with world financial meltdown – they would, of course, save us from becoming the mindless slaves that secret, higher levels of Government that are working to create as part of their plan for New World Order. The prophecy became known as First Contact and incidences of UFO sightings worldwide began to increase. Advertising on Johnson’s blogspot boomed and the growing community of believers waited for updates with bated breath.
By now you will be wondering why a picture of the “light ship” does not accompany this article. The simple reason is that our “Galactic family” never showed up.
Then things got nasty. The blog became inundated with abusive messages and trollers defiling both Goodchild’s character and the integrity of Johnson, whose hope was blown out like a candle in the wind.
Things escalated the next day. It seemed that the lack of presence of Goodchild was more disappointing than the fact that our ET friends did not show up and thousands of vicious comments continued to appear on the site.
Just as we thought that word from Goodchild was as likely to arrive as the “light ship” of her prophecy, a seven minute You-Tube humble pie video appeared on the blog on the 16th. A depressed Goodchild apologised for raising hopes and said she cannot understand why she has ended up being so humiliated. She explained that her own blog was shut down when she couldn’t handle the content of the 2000 comments, including demands for her to kill herself. She explained that the $4000 she made in the previous ten weeks was little compensation for having spent the previous nine years of her life writing books. Next time she speaks with the “Federation of Light” she might want to ask them why their plan to unite humanity in love and peace has resulted in a hate campaign focusing on herself and Johnson.
In the meantime, we will all have to wait a little longer before there is indisputable proof of ET lifeforms. Of course, there are still those who believe that the ship experienced a slight delay on its journey through the universe and may still arrive as we speak. … However, as blogger “ZardOz” commented on the 10-14 site “One of the nice things about being human is that most of us get to choose the level of sanity or insanity we operate at. Please choose wisely.”
