“As it was my first jump, I thought it was only a bad jump, and not a fall,” said the father of two.
Horrified family members looked on as Benno Jacobs, 35, struggled to disentangle the ropes of his parachute while hurtling through the air at a dizzying speed. The only thoughts on his mind were his children and a short prayer. It was short, indeed, because it took him 60 seconds to hit the ground.
Except for a bloodied nose and some disorientation, he wasn’t hurt when he landed in a ploughed field in Bloemfontein.

Adam Dreamhealer, a Canadian college student, claims that he can heal people’s maladies with the touch of his hands. According to ABC News, he makes more than most doctors do––$1.2 million. This doesn’t include the income he makes from his books, DVD, and healing sessions over the Internet.
He began experiencing telekenetic phenomena at the age of 15, when pencils and erasers began flying out of his hands. Since then, he’s channeled his energies into healing cancers and infections.
Adam says when he is trying to heal a person he sees a “quantum hologram” — a representation of the combined energy of everyone in the room.
“I’m not actually sure what it is I do. I go into this trance,” says Adam. “I don’t see anything else around me except for this person in front of me. And then I’m just changing these things, this image in front of me.”
He says he uses his hands to fix breaks in the energy flow, which allows the healing to begin.
But Adam can’t guarantee the success of his work.
Whatever this guy has isn’t perfect. He’s not able to cure people of cancer forever, and sometimes he misdiagnoses his client’s systems (much like doctors do). I also appreciated his respect for medicine in that he advised his clients to continue with their medication in conjunction with his healing treatment.
The scientific community hasn’t decided one way or the other if Adam Dreamhealer is a fraud. Edgar Mitchell of the Apollo 14 mission said, “It’s all about channeling energy and resonating with the person.”
According to Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School and the Mind/Body Center, we have self-healing capacities within ourselves that can be turned on by belief and expectancy. However, this ability can be difficult to turn on when we’re in pain or are afraid. That’s where people like Adam can be helpful.

Author Noel Edmonds received harsh criticism from the Catholic church, who accused him of starting a cult based on cosmic ordering. Edmonds claims that his television career took off after he read Bärbel Mohr’s Cosmic Ordering Service.
There are many who believe that cosmic ordering works for them. As of this date, Mohr’s book has sold over 1 million copies in Germany alone. Strangely enough, this book has received only nine reviews on Amazon. These reviews are very mixed. Some hate this book while others rave about it.
Will cosmic ordering cults spring up because of this book, as the bishop fears? It’s possible, but I don’t know if they’ll last very long. I see this as a fad and nothing more.

I’ve just been remembering an incident that happened to me before I’d heard of the book, Cosmic Ordering. I must have inadvertently practised this technique over some furniture a few months ago.
We had noticed that the sofa and single chairs were looking a bit tatty, so decided to replace them. Now, I loathe shopping, so I thought I’d try the internet. After a long spell online I stared up at the ceiling (as one does) and cried, “Why can’t I find some decent furniture?â€
Well, time passed … about two weeks, then my former business partner turned up out of the blue. He’d inherited his mother’s house and all the furniture. Most of it was being sold but a few items were being kept for sentimental value. These included a very luxurious, red leather suite, spectacularly comfortable and absolutely huge. It was far too big for his cottage, so he asked if I would “store†it indefinitely.
When it arrived it fitted perfectly and looks quite magnificent. Everyone is satisfied and we didn’t pay a penny.
So, does “cosmic ordering” work, or not?
