Travel with Nigel Danvers to an eerie seaside town on England’s east coast. Learn to use advanced techniques used by real paranormal investigators, and uncover an ancient mystery and treasure. But, beware, not all of the towns residents will help in your mission, whether they are alive or dead.
Inspiration from the haunting works of Charles Dickens, M.R. James, Arthur Conan Doyle, and E.F. Benson combines with real ghost-hunting gadgets to bring this frightening story to bone-chilling life. Success or failure in locating wandering spirits depends on your skill as an investigator. Placing motion detectors, night vision cameras, and temperature gauges correctly will reveal a location’s haunted past, and expose terrifying apparitions. With nerves of steel, and wits to match, you will soon discover long lost secrets, previously known only to the dead!
I’ve been looking for a decent ghost hunting game for years, ever since I played the once-popular Amber Journeys Beyond. Based on the review from Just Adventure, this sounds like a great game. I liked the soundtrack on the trailer, but the animation looks a bit clunky. I’ll be watching for more reviews in the future.
Judging by the previews, paranormal comedy Over Her Dead Body looked like a riot of a movie. I especially liked the scene where the ex-fiance is hovering over her would-be husband and his new girlfriend, who are about to make love. Then I began to read the reviews and viewer comments. Movie Pulse sums this movie up as a watered-down version of Reese Witherspoon’s Just Like Heaven. Metacritic gave the move a 3.6 out of 10. Viewers either loved the movie or hated it.
If you haven’t seen Over Her Dead Body yet, I’d wait until it becomes available on Netflix.
This movie was exactly what I expected it to be, a cheap sequel with a somewhat interesting plot twist of devil worship and torture. The writers knocked out the infamous Red Room and substituted it with growling vents, which I thought was very stupid and cliche. If I had gone to the movie theater to watch the Amityville Horror remake, I would have been disappointed. The bonuses on the DVD make this movie worth renting.
I enjoyed watching the bonus segment entitled Supernatural Homicide. The former police chief and medical examiner were interviewed, as well as psychic Lorraine Warren. While the police chief refuted Ronald DeFeo’s claim about demon possession and ghosts, he is haunted by the crime scene. Lorraine, on the other hand, believes that the house is possessed by evil and that DeFeo wasn’t solely responsible for the murders.
Celebrity psychic Derek Acorah will star on Living TV’s Paranormal Egypt, which is scheduled to air on September 4th. According to The Sun Online, Derek had a harrowing experience in the bowels of one of the Great Pyramid that nearly cost him his life.
“It took me completely by surprise, and it wasn’t a pleasant one,” Derek said.
“We were filming in the main chamber of the Great Pyramid and I could tell there was a lot of spiritual activity going on.
“Forget Most Haunted, this was a stronger force than anything I’d ever encountered before.
“I heard something approaching and then ‘bang’, it hit me hard in the face and I started choking because I couldn’t draw a breath.
“There was a paranormal substance or powder that went across my mouth and into my nostrils, basically suffocating me.
“Thankfully the symptoms subsided but then I felt really sick and had to rest until the nausea passed.
“I’ve no idea what the entity was, but it’s obvious something didn’t want me there in the Great Pyramid.â€
Fans of Living TV will get to watch this scene in its entirety. Another segment of the show involves Acorah establishing that the Curse of the Pharaohs was a myth. While I forget the names of the scientists who debunked the curse as a myth (years ago), I remember them explaining how the Egyptians would bring fruit into the tombs as part of the burial ceremony. The fruit had rotted, sending spores and bacteria into the air for those archaeologists to breathe. It will be interesting to see what Acorah has to say.
