That’s what Ann White of Beaufort, also known as Running Deer, says when people ask her about her psychic ability. She prefers to be called a Cherokee medicine woman, rather than a psychic. Whatever the title, she says that people have come to her when they cross over. One was a woman named Tera Dianne Tracy, who was beaten and stabbed to death while working at a convenience store across the street from her house.
Tracy told White the details of her death, gave a description of her killer, and revealed that a Winnie the Pooh bear had been placed inside her casket. A statue of a horse was placed on top of her grave, due to the fact that she had loved horses. White couldn’t have known any of the personal details of the burial because she lived 30 miles away from Tracy and her family.
White met one of Tracy’s family members by chance when she went to a chiropractor. The family was so impressed with White’s testimony that they asked her to contact the sheriff’s office to help them solve this 8 year-old case. White was able to identify the killer, based on a drawing she had made from Tracy’s description, and urged the authorities to post a nationwide bulletin with his photo.

Last year, I wrote an article about Sylvia Browne’s unfortunate misfire when she told a couple that their son was dead, when in fact, he was alive. Despite this very public setback, psychic detectives are playing a valuable role in helping law enforcement solve tough cases.
For instance, the UK’s renowned psychic, Gordon Smith, pinpointed the exact location where officials would find Blake Hartley’s (see photo) skeletal remains. Out of desperation, Hartley’s mother contacted Smith, who verified his credentials by describing a picture she had hung next to her phone the very day she went to see him. Smith contacted Blake, who gave him a cryptic answer about his death.

Eight years have passed since the grisly murders of J.B. Beasley and Tracie Hawlett, who were found shot to death in the trunk of Beasley’s car on the side of a road. During this time, investigators have not been able to come up with the identity of the killer, despite finding some DNA on the girl’s clothing. They eventually called the Haunted Evidence team to help them solve this case.
Psychic John J. Oliver guided law enforcement to a secluded wooded area, providing tactful details of what happened to them before they were killed. He believes that the girls were shot at that location before the killer drove Beasley’s car to the road where they were found. Police are searching the area for clues that will bring this frustrating case to a close.

Communist Vietnam, officially an athiest state, has a long tradition of ancestor worship. This tradition and a yearning to find missing relatives from what they call the “American war” have made them seek supernatural assistance from mediums.
Vu The Khanh, Director of the Science Technology Union for Informatics Application, says that there are about 10 psychics that are now prominent in Vietnam. Demand for their talents is so high that families have to wait more than one year for appointments at Khanh’s center and similar centers such as the Centre for Research into Human Capabilities.
